Style Hunter: green light.

05 December 2011

When Style Hunter popped along to Covent Garden at the weekend, we thought we must have taken a wrong turn and fallen down the rabbit hole. The lovely folk at Rugby Ralph Lauren had decked out the famous piazza with lashings of bunting and hundreds of suitably dressed participants were ready and waiting to set off on the first ever Tweed Run in the UK (it’s travelling across the globe – more info here Heritage and the whole urban famer look is still going strong for this season, so Style Hunter thought it wise to stay for breakfast (well, it would be rude not to), and to snap the best-dressed girls before they whizzed off on their bicycles… Tally ho!

First up to the starting line is Aggie Bainbridge and her ladylike take on tweed. The 26 year old graphic designer made her matching herringbone cape and hat herself, clever thing, and her elegant elbow length gloves finish off her fab vintage look. That stunning emerald hue (which has been a big catwalk hit this A/W) provides the perfect contrast to her fiery red hair, but we were green with envy when we saw her Pashley bike, complete with wicker basket; definitely the must have accessory of the day!
