Mary Katrantzou Autumn Winter 2011
Did we mention we’re rather a hive of activity in the Grazia Office today – preparing for the, now rather imminent, British Fashion Awards tonight? While everyone has been trying things on in the loos and packing an extra blusher in their handbags, our Editor in Chief, Jane Bruton, has faced a dizzying array of gowns to choose from for the ceremony.
Here's Jane at a party for Net-A-Porter earlier this year . . .
Add to that, an extra invitation; a royal reception. Yep, you read that correctly. Since she’s off to a reception to meet the Queen beforehand, Jane’s outfit has to be both Monarch-worthy as well as red carpet ready! Here are some of her options . .
Mary Katrantzou’s stunning prints (top picture) show off British design talent at its best.
Antonio Berardi Autmn Winter collection 2011
No-one tailors feminine eveningwear like Antonio Berardi – his designs are the epitome of sophisticated sexiness. (NB the version of this Jane tried on was fully lined!)
Stella McCartney dotty dress from Autmn Winter 2011
Stella McCartney is up for more than a few gongs this evening – and this dotty number has to be one of the main reasons she’s attracting so much attention – it’s been the dress of the season on the red carpet!
Erdem dresses Autumn Winter 2011
Erdem is another nominee – he’s up for Designer Of The Year as well as New Establishment Award!
Alexander McQueen dresses by Sarah Burton available at Matches.com
We couldn’t have a trying-on session without at least one frock from Alexander McQueen. Designer Sarah Burton is up for Designer Of The Year and knows a thing or two about dressing for Royal occasions to boot.
Jane has her favourite, but which one do YOU think she should wear?
