Grazia Daily is excited. Why? Because it's the British Fashion Awards tonight, aka: the Oscars of Fashland. Oh yes. Dresses have arrived, tresses are poofed and Team GD is ready to hit the red carpet in T-minus six hours. We'll be at the swanky Savoy Hotel from 5pm this evening to chat all things style with the hottest designers, toppest models and trendiest style setters. Everyone from Mary Katrantzou and Sarah Burton to Daisy Lowe and Stella Tennant will be at the awards ceremony and we'll be bringing you the excitement as it happens right here on Grazia Daily and on Grazia_Live's Twitter feed.
But there's one lady who we're especially excited to see: Ms Victoria Beckham. The designer has been nominated for not one but three accolades - the British Style Award, the Red Carpet Award AND the Designer Brand Award. Wowee. Plus, VB has attended the shindig for the past two years so she HAS to be there tonight, right?
All clues point to YES. The last time we spotted VB, she was hopping on a plane from LAX airport on Saturday and heading to our shores. Hurrah! Naturally, she was working her airport chic with aplomb, sporting a sleeveless plaid blouse tucked into a knee-length ivory skirt — j'adore that Peter Pan collar, Mrs B! The outfit was polished off with her favourite pair of taupe suede Christian Louboutin boots and, of course, her adorable daughter Harper Seven who was kitted out in a complementary striped dress and black tights (from Chloe, daahling).
But the question buzzing through Grazia HQ is WHAT will Lady Beckham wear for the event, especially considering she's sure to scoop at least one award? As the best ambassador for her brand, we have every faith she'll be showcasing one of her own creations as she has done for BFAs past. Her most recent collection for Spring / Summer 2012 offered up a couple of floor-sweepers [above] but with that sporty vibe, are they glam enough for such a glossy event? This makes us wonder whether VB will return to her Autumn / Winter 2011 collection seeing as it was packed with red-carpet-appropriate numbers, from this vibrant red gown to a bejewelled navy blue stunner [below].
And will she still be clinging onto little Harper? We'll bring you the answers to these — and more nailbiting questions — as soon as we know...
