For the latest installment in Grazia’s Kate Middleton Look Book, we bring you a (rather blurry) glimpse of the Duchess sporting a dressed-down ensemble for a secret visit at a primary school in London. Yep, Prince Will’s wife is wearing a JUMPER and JEANS. Quelle horreur!
Of course, Grazia Daily doesn’t expect the DOC to swoop through the town constantly draped in silk and dripping in diamonds – but it appears some people do. Well, sort of. It was actually the school children who were bemused by Kate’s casual outfit. Where’s the real-life Disney Princess they’d dreamed of? >grump<
After waiting for 45 minutes in the car park to catch a glimpse of the Royal,"They were saying things like, 'She doesn’t look like a Princess. Where’s her dress? They didn’t believe it was the Princess they had seen on the television." Aw, poor lambs.
The look is certainly a dramatic contrast to the silvery satin floor-sweeper by Jenny Packham that Kate recently donned for a charity dinner at St. James's Palace. But let’s not forget the Duchess came under fire for wearing a dressy look from Alexander McQueen’s Pre-Fall 2011 collection when visiting the riot-hit Birmingham, so is this preppy look a more event-appropriate outfit?
Kate was also spotted doing a spot of shopping this weekend wearing a decidedly more chic ensemble [above]. Although still informal, she looked smart in a black polo neck jumper, wool Mulberry skirt, tights and suede boots by Aquatalia, topped off with her favourite Mulberry Polly Push Lock handbag and an armful of bags. Note she’s been hitting the high-street stores once again - this time, Zara. See, K-Middy’s just like us. Or something…
