Vauxhall Fashion Scout opens applications for London Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week and the search officially begins for the most exciting new design talent! Applications are open now and will close on 14th November, so you might need to get your skates on!

The successful applicants chosen by a selection panel of fashion industry experts will have the opportunity to show their work at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout venue at London Fashion Week and selected designers will even be given the chance to work with the Vauxhall Fashion Scout year-long mentoring programme, specially tailored to ensure designers have the required skills to develop and maintain successful, sustainable businesses. Brilliant news!

Over the years, Vauxhall Fashion Scout have been responsible for discovering and nurturing designers such as Peter Pilotto, David Koma, Maria Francesca Pepe, Felder Felder, Eudon Choi and William Tempest. They have a brilliant venue and exhibition where all the fashion creativity is displayed, for maximum attention from press and buyers.

As part of the whole shebang, there are particular honours up for grabs. The winner of the Merit Award will receive a fully sponsored catwalk show during London Fashion Week and a £1000 cash prize. This is the biggie, attracting leading international press and buyers, the prestigious ‘Merit Award’ has included winners such as William Tempest, David Koma, Hermione de Paula, Eudon Choi, Georgia Hardinge and last season’s winner, Leutton Postle.

The internationally renowned ‘Ones To Watch’ showcase is a platform designed specifically to launch the freshest new talents and a joint back-to-back catwalk showcase including several different designers in one show.  The award provides designers with their first opportunity to show to a UK and international audience.  With a dedicated exhibition space in London, ‘Ones To Watch’ has become a bit of a benchmark in identifying and bigging the talents of the current and next generation. We LOVE it!
