Lisa Bonet at a recent screening, and with her doppelganger/daughter Zoe Kravitz
Pedro Almodovar’s latest film, The Skin I Live In has created ripples all over for months now, but this week they held a, bit late, screening in New York attended by everyone who is ANYONE, for goodness sake. Madonna and Lourdes for a start (we don’t think she’s old enough), but then, what’s this? Lisa Bonet? We don’t see too much of her around these days. Former star of The Cosby Show and mother of Lenny Kravitz’s daughter is an utter ‘90’s icon, and one we don’t see very much of any more.
Here’s what she wore to the glamorous NY soiree (top picture) – interesting huh? Like a high fashion Pierrot, kooky yet groomed and dignified in her silky blouse and ruff.
But let’s take a journey back through her best fashion moments.
She came crashing into our childhood consciousness as Denise Huxtable in the Cosby Show, showing us how cool and deadpan we wanted to be as soon as we were old enough.
She eloped with Lenny Kravitz at a very young age and had Zoe, their daughter, who is now a bit of a fashion icon in her own right when she was only 17.
She also starred in a Cosby Show spin-off called A Different World (above) and then opposite Mickey Rourke in the classic film Angel Heart (below)
Now she’s 43, still looks absolutely far too cool for school and now she’s got a new man, Hawaiian actor Jason Momoa, also known as Conan the Barbarian (for his muscles galore image you see, and also his part in the film of tha same name) and they have two little kids together called Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa and a daughter, Lola. Aww.
