No other fashion week does uber-glam quite like Milano. London’s scruff and grunge won’t cut it for the FROWs of Armani and such, so out come the super stilettos, power brands and very, very tanned legs (mahogany was the shade of choice, appaz). Looking anything other than film-set ready just isn’t acceptable, but there are plenty of fash packers who live up to those standards. It was proper scorchio in Milan (a forecast that some foolish editors ignored, hence some rather uncomfortable sightings of fur on the front row) but most styled it out with their new autumn/winter must-haves. Here’s a snapshot of the major luxury that went down…
Anna Dello Russo’s spangle-fest of a Dolce & Gabbana dress looked brilliant from every angle, but just how cute is that bow, please?
The ever-smart Taylor Tomasi-Hill is the first lady we’ve seen in this YSL thigh-slit pencil skirt. Monochrome looks truly amazing with that fiery hair.
Shala Monroque is always on super-chic duty. She’s recently been decked out in a riot of rainbow colours, but there’s something incredibly yummy about those neutral shades and the idea of a silky spaghetti strap vest with a pencil skirt. Kinda ‘90s, kinda marvellous.
Blogger Chiara Ferragni’s gold Frankie Morello necklace is one of the best collars we’ve EVER seen. And along with that perfectly tousled hair it’s a big swoon (and new fashion blogger obsession) from us.
Vogue Nippon’s Assistant Fashion Editor Vivianna Volpicella lived up to Marni show day (where die-hard fans must wear Marni OR ELSE) in this ‘60s inspired printed shift. We love that lively splash of sunshine yellow – all in all, very S/S’12.
Ahh! The frivolity of a super-mini Celine Luggage tote in fluro orange - only in Milano! Just had to share that one with you.
