As London's finest fashionista's prepped their outfits for Day 1 of LFW, Grazia Daily popped to the shop at Bluebird on the King's Road to meet Ally Hilfiger (daughter of Tommy, no less, and SUPER friendly) and her design partner Nary Manivong (also super friendly) about their label, NAHM, which launched exclusively at Bluebird in London last night.
The NAHM collections are based around the shirt dress - because 'we were going through my closet' says Ally 'and we wanted to focus on one thing' adds Nary 'and she started pulling out all of these shirt dresses, and we started looking at it... And took the concept'. 'It's so easy to wear' adds Ally, because 'you can wear it in any mood, and make it work for any occasion'.
Now in their second season, the latest collection (which is beautifully tailored as a result, say the duo, of it being produced in New York) includes a gorgeous 70s-style printed maxi, as well as some super sharp shifts in a stiff basket-weave nylon, and (Ally's favourite) 'cool girl' dresses; a loose sleeveless shirt which she loves because it's 'very cool, very relaxed, but you don't look sloppy'.
