Kind of patterned, kind of shredded and kind of embellished, Bora Aksu’s signature gothy-romantic aesthetic has always been hinged on his use of brilliantly extravagant tights; there is no such thing as a bare leg in Aksu’s world. HOWEVER, in spite of numerous questions from hosiery-fans, Aksu’s leg adornments have been unavailable to buy, post-show. But not any more!
Smartly, Aksu has decided to launch a limited collection of two pairs of tights this October; ‘Angel’ (top) is a corset-inspired design with long sweeping stripes of fishnet, and ‘Fiend’ (immediately above) is a scaly, more intensely patterned design. Each is available at £25 from the newly relaunched boraaksu.com from October.
