So, if you don’t work in fashion, you may or may not know that the whole industry is run by very important (occasionally scary) people called PRs – who work at each brand. Now, come fashion week, the PRs like everyone else, become quite overworked and stressed out and one of the main reasons for this is the seating plan and the invitations for their fashion shows' rows front to back and then standing. They must send out all these invites to the correct press and buyers and hopefully avoid offending any of the top notch press and buyers - and resolve any disputes - while keeping the lower orders of press and fashion groupies firmly in their place and not up in Anna Wintour’s grill. (Heaven forfend!)
So, anyway, the undoubtedly battle-weary PRs at the Carolina Herrera show must have felt a warm glow of satisfaction when THESE press pictures of the front row of her S/S ’12 show landed on her desk. They’re the funniest combination we’ve seen this season!
But what the DICKENS could have Wintour and Minaj been gossiping about? Marc Jacobs’ salary at Dior? The price of pom poms? Tell us below what your ideas are, and see if you can come up with any funnier ones than our Facebook fans at Grazia UK! Because the best may appear in next week's issue!
