Grazia Daily has long loved Selma Blair's quirky sartorial choices, but when she grew a baby bump earlier this year, the actress shot into fashion hero territory. Look up 'yummy mummy' in the Fashion Dictionary, and you'll find images of Selma sporting loose-fitting, boho-esque maxi dresses or tomboy-ish dungarees with her rounded tummy. So when we heard Ms B would be at the Venice Film Festival this week (with her baby son Arthur, aww) to promote new indie flick Dark Horse, we camped out on the red carpet to catch a glimpse.
Anyone looking for a post-baby bump, would have been hard pushed. Selma, who gave birth five weeks ago, looked as sleek as ever on Monday night, wearing a red crepe gown from Lanvin's A/W'11 collection. She exclusively revealed she wants to design a range of clothing which will help new mums get their body confidence back - and give them something to wear.
'It's the next thing I want to do,' she says. 'It's that difficult time between giving birth and getting back into your pre-pregnancy clothes. I am finding nothing fits me anymore. Plus, I don't have any time to go out shopping for clothes.'
Before she designs that new range, the Blair dressed herself in emerald green Roland Mouret. Surely the next best thing for figure flattering?
