Kurt Geiger, the posh High Street temple of footwear, unveils its new accessories collection, called Everything But the Dress - on the same day as launching the global site, kurtgeiger.com. Whoohooo! It sounds like not only are our footwear dilemmas solved (although tbh we’ve never had too much trouble deciding whether or not to invest in some new kicks) but possibly also our present-buying issues for all our female friends and rellies.
That’s right - since now prices range from £8 to £450 and there are gift vouchers available too, it sounds like it’ll become our one stop shop – thank you, universe!
We’re already familiar with the dazzling array of shoes, boots and strappies, but now with the rolling-out of Everything But The Dress, two other key areas are being introduced. Number one, there’s the accessories range, including scrumptious handbags created in soft European leathers, and each in a palette of sophisticated colours, complete with heavy gold plated zips and hardware for a contemporary feel.
The outerwear is apparently inspired by urban street style with fingerless gloves, faux fur snoods and soft angora scarves. Did we mention there’s jewellery as well? Well there is. Fans of cocktail rings will not be disappointed, that’s all we’re saying, but why not check out the range for yourself?kurtgeiger.com
Oh yes, and number two, they’ve come up with the name Candy for their third category. No – not sweets, you silly (actually, come to think, there might be some sweets hither and thither in their amazing golded store) but a thoughtfully put-together collection of hopelessly moreish accessories such as purses, cardholders, technology accessories, key fobs, pencil cases, makeup bags and shoppers. Other trinkets include beaded necklaces in fluro colours, coloured friendship strings with star charms, hair accessories, earrings and rings all sit in gold star bubble packaging. They've even dreamed up a swanky blog, everythingbutthedress.com to go with it.
Oh look – we’ve started dribbling. Now please excuse us we’re going to get a hanky.
