This will put a smile on your pretty faces, readers - and that's a Grazia Daily guarantee! As you, of course, remember the delightfully cute and impressively successful Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen recently collaborated through their label The Row with Toms shoes on a limited collection of super-chic and ridiculously comfy cashmere flats. This being Toms flats however means that for each pair sold a pair of shoes is given to a child in need. So, one fine day, the sisters joined Toms founder Blake Mycoskie on a shoe drop in the Honduras and documented their experience.
The Olsens, along with a group of volunteers, visited classrooms in three different communities outside of Tegucigalpa, where they gave shoes to the kids and played football with them (although we've actually seen no footage of neither Ashley or Mary Kate kicking the ball!).
Reflecting on the trip, Ashley said, 'We're very aware of Blake's work and what he was doing and trying to accomplish and it's something, obviously, we wanted to be a part of. The children are so special and kind and loving and welcoming...they're just incredible!'
Mary Kate added, 'It's really taught me a little bit more about myself and how I can be more affectionate and loving and how putting a smile on a kid's face is, well...there's nothing like it!' Watch the sweet and inspiring video below and for your pair of Toms/The Row shoes visit Toms.
