It's The Last Ever +J For Uniqlo Collection!

25 August 2011

Truth be told, we haven't quite recovered from the news back in June that the A/W'11 +J collection for Japanese retail giant Uniqlo will be the last one EVER. We've been relying on Jil Sander's minimal chic designs for comfy and warm outerwear that did not break the bank as well as expertly cut shirts and trousers 'proper' enough for work and cool enough for well, everything else since the partnership began in October '09 and even though the recent announcement of Uniqlo's upcoming collaboration with Undercover’s designer Jun Takahashi is also ridiculously exciting, we can't help but feel a bit sad that +J ain't no more!

Luckily for us, Ms Sander's last collection is for winter, which can only mean great puffa jackets and tailored coats, double-breasted blazers and pea coats galore! These images are the first of the full collection and we're in love with this season's colour palette - sure, there's a lot of black and navy (Jil is always thinking practical) but we can't help but swoon over that deep burgundy blazer and skirt and green puffa with an exaggerated skirt.

We'll of course be first in line when the collection hits stores in less than two weeks, September 7th, so all that's left to say is, thank you for the fashion Jil Sander and we hope to see more of it soon!
