If there’s one thing us Graziettas can’t get enough of it’s H&M. From the frenzy when Lanvin’s goodies landed to collections with Karl Lagerfeld and Stella McCartney, not to mention recent Versace and David Beckham collabs, the Swedish chain never fails to deliver. So how happy are we to hear there’ll be even more H&M-ness when their first ever shop-in-shop arrives in Selfridges? We woop!
To clarify, ‘shop-in-shop’ is fancy speak for a concession, which promises a bespoke mini-store stocked with limited edition garb on the ground floor of the London mega-store. And to add to the excitement, H&M will have regular guest curators selecting their favourite pieces *cough* David Beckham! *ahem*
For starters, they’re recruited black-bobbed DJ, model and all-round-style-muse Leigh Lezark to hand-pick her exclusive selection, which she’ll personally introduce at the launch on Thursday 25th August. ‘My philosophy on both beauty and style is to be yourself and find your own style,’ the New Yorker says. ‘Given my hectic schedule I can always find something [in H&M] that works!’ Hear, hear.
So what can we expect from your curated pieces, Ms Lezark? ‘[They] are, I feel, modern classics everyone should have in their wardrobe – and I have tried to throw in some colour too!’ Wowee. Plus, Leigh’s uber-hip band, The Misshapes, will perform a DJ set in store on Thursday evening.
We’re expecting nothing less than fashion carnage.
