We’re excited. After the success of the William & Kate movie earlier this year, Hallmark TV have decided to produce another movie based on the courtship of everyone’s favourite pair of newlyweds - Kate Middleton and Prince William. Ta da!
Alice St Claire is the latest actress to don a mega-weave and a shift dress to take on the role of K-Mid, in what may well be the most fabulously farcical movie event of 2011. Talking for the first time since her casting, St Claire revealed the film will be missing one crucial scene, because it won’t include the actual wedding. BOO! Why? Because they couldn’t afford the extras. Or, as Alice says ‘I don't think you can repeat her 'performance' at the wedding’. Hmm. Unless you were an actress, maybe?
St Claire says that for the scenes where Kate and William met at St Andrews, ‘a lot of it was using my own experiences about being a 20-year-old… I didn't try too hard to mimic her’ (probably a good thing).
Other things we love about this are:
1) Camilla looks ACE, and a little like she has a chicken on her head (above).
2) Charles is played by that guy who’s been in almost every film we’ve ever seen (also above).
3) The Queen is about 52.
4) There’s a flipping flashback scene with Diana in it.
So click play below, watch, weep and prepare yourself for the biopic to end all biopics.
