So, Lady Gaga has a world of Mugler in her wardrobe (to name but one designer) but there’s someone who’s been putting the ‘pow’ into power shoulders and disregarding the need for actual clothes, beyond a posh bra and pants to create a look - for years. He created the wardrobe for the most potent blend of fashion and science fiction ever; The Fifth Element – a film that inspired generations of music video producers, AND put Madonna on the 'globally recognisable' level by dressing her in silk undies. Can you tell who it is yet?
Gaga in 2009 and Madonna in her 80's heyday both rocking a JPG creation
YES! JPG! His latest project has seen him hanging out with Gaga and a film crew, the resulting meeting of minds has already been aired on French telly, and is due to be shown in the states next month. It shows the pair engaging in a mutual appreciation society, sitting on very conceptual, Dali-esque chairs and posing for pictures, rampaging through JPG’s archives and generally being fabulous. The trailer shows one gesture of during the love-in where Jean Paul runs to catch the pop princess before she gets in her car to hand her a huge bouquet of roses. To which Gaga thanks him warmly in French (!) and they gaze into each other’s eyes for a second. *melts with cuteness*
When will it come here?
