Fred Perry WILL release the Amy Winehouse Collaborations

After the death of Amy Winehouse last month, it emerged that she had created two more collections of clothing with Fred Perry, following her first successful range for the brand – a cute ‘50s inspired line which drew heavily on her own signature look.

Fred Perry had put plans to release the next collection on hold until after meeting with the late singer’s family and now, following that meeting, Fred Perry announced that they will release not only the A/W ’11 Fred Perry for Amy Winehouse collection, but the S/S ’12 collection as well.

Amy’s fee and royalties from both collections will be donated to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, the organization soon to be set up in her name with the aim of helping children and young people. In addition, Fred Perry will make a seasonal donation to the foundation.

Amy’s father Mitch Winehouse said ‘When Fred Perry came to us to ask what we would like to do with the new collection it was natural to continue…. Amy loved working on both collections, and would want them to be made available’.

Here’s hoping they raise lots of cash for the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
