Grazia Daily reviews BINTM AND reveals our secret BINTM expert!

02 August 2011

And then there were eleven. Though if we’re being TOTALLY honest we’re still not sure who’s who, Grazia Daily knows that the BINTM bedroom is a little bit less crowded this morning, after Kimberleigh and Joanne were booted out of model towers last night. Boo!

The girls were deemed the least successful at the (frankly bonkers) photoshoot for Lipton tea, in which each girl represented a different flavor. ‘You’re a lemon, you’re zingy’ shouted a French lady at the wannabe models who adopted of un-lemony and zing-less poses at the table.

There was the usual combination of stroppish diva behavior (Juste throwing an eppi when she had to wear a black wig and Anastasia telling us she was going to ‘just forget about’ Tanya after the mum of one committed the unforgivable sin of not inviting her on a trip to Swarovski Crystalized, later rectified by the production of a gift from said crystal shop).

Janice Dickinson popped up, was terrifying and left, and Sophie Ellis Bextor appeared in the newly refurbed Elimination Room, was nice, and left. Also, we were given yet more evidence that Charley is the only judge who does any work as he ran the whole show until Julien, Grace and Elle swanned in at the last moment and took all the glory. Why I outta…

Grazia Daily grabbed a few minutes with evictee Kimberleigh this morning (Joanne having fled the country in the manner of a spurned ‘50s movie star), and we asked her if she would do anything differently if she had her time in the house again? ‘No!’ she said ‘I’d do everything exactly the same. I was just me… Though I probably wouldn’t cry as much!’

Kim also said that though she didn’t feel she deserved to go, she respects the judges decision, and ‘I definitely want to continue modeling’ in the future. Also, of course, we wanted to know who she rates of the eleven girls who are still in the house – ‘Tanya’ she says. ‘I think she’s got a really interesting look about her, and I think she’ll go far in the industry’. Innnnteresting.

AND, as if that’s not enough, this year we’ve got a VERY special correspondent working with us here at Grazia Towers – why it’s lovely Charlotte Holmes! Charlotte, who was undoubtedly the viewer favourite last year (because she was the nicest and prettiest, though we’re biased) is the compere for BINTM Live later this year, the giant live event following BINTM which this year includes catwalk shows with all of this year’s BINTM contestants as well as a viewer’s runway and a TON of extra stuff. Ace!

Charlotte will be offering her words of wisdom after each week’s episode, and this morning said ‘I really like Juste– every time she comes on screen I’m struck by how pretty she is, and I loved her look in the shoot this week. However, I DO think she needs to learn to deal with being a blank canvas for the photographers and stylists – but if she can learn to cope with that, then she’s my one to watch at this stage!’

Next week – it’s makeover time! Be prepared people; Elle’s got her scissors out.
