Former Chloe exec moves to St John!

02 August 2011

Ralph Toledano, the former head of Chloe, and all-round Richemont uber-executive, (not to be confused with Sidney Toledano, head of Dior at rival luxury conglomerate, LVMH) has now been appointed to chairman of the board at American ready to wear brand, St John. Before stepping down at Chloe, he was with the company for 11 years, during which time he helped develop the careers of Stella McCartney and Phoebe Philo.

Ooh, we wonder what he will do at St John’s? Toledano has worked for many barnds, including a similar US organisation, Donna Karan. The luxury knitwear company is hoping to undergo and intense period of expansion at the moment, with new stores in Dubai and Moscow, a facelift for its existing shops in the States and renewed marketing drive. If you’re not sure if you have heard of this brand before, then let us refresh your memory. Tasteful knits modelled by the world’s most ridiculously famous ladies, Gisele Bundchen, Angelina Jolie, and Karen Elson among them, Kate Winslet being the most recent!

Let us know your suggestions for the next A-list beauty they will tempt with wads of cash to pose in their direction below!
