The Florence Welch/TOPSHOP rumours are a FALSE ALARM!

01 August 2011

Would a TOPSHOP collab have looked anything like THIS? We'll never know now!

Apparently, the (reasonably plausible) rumours that Florence was going to take her machine to TOPSHOP head office and design some wifty-wafty garments for a TOPSHOP range to fill the somewhat sad gap in all fashionistas’ lives that opened up when Kate Moss hung up her sketching pencils and moved on to projects such as dreaming up luxury bags for Longchamp – are false. FALSE ALARM everyone! We asked the TOPSHOP peeps outright and there’s no truth in it at all.  So, if are a looking for a full length, long-sleeved, Seventies gown with added frills or some mannish brogues and a tweed jacket then you may as well just buy one now because there’s no point waiting for a specific one to pop up on the rails at TOPSHOP with Flo’s signature on the swing ticket. Soweeee!

Back in the world of reality, apparently Toppers will be working with ethical wool brand, Izzy Lane this autumn. Their USP? All the wool comes from rescued sheep who would otherwise have been slaughtered. Eeep! More news as we get it kids!
