Wasn’t it glorious timing that for yesterday’s Ladies Day at Glorious Goodwood the sun finally came out to play? Well, it’s the new event of the summer season and there’d be tears from all the fashionistas and high society gals if their new sundresses turned soggy. Style Hunter was there to (aside from sip champagne and look at the pretty horses) photograph the best dressed fillies in show, and what a lovely selection we have for you. We think these outfits will provide plenty of inspiration for any posh parties or weddings you have coming up. But what do you think of Goodwood’s most glam?
We love Elaine Sullivan’s soft neutrals: her Armani Blouse, Pret-a-Portobello pleated maxi and cream Roger Vivier bag are so understated. Little details like a chain belt (bought on a trip to Bali), fedora and seriously elegant Roger Vivier sandals elevate her look from simple to simply chic.
Sunday Girl aka Jade Williams wowed the crowds in this safari short suit from Mulberry. We love the grown-up longer-length city shorts paired up with super-smart loafers and a crisp white shirt. So sleek. All topped off with a fantastic pair of round sunnies for a bit of fun.
Stylist Sam Willoughby could’ve easily allowed this gorgeous Erdem dress to do all the talking, but we love how she’s piled on the eccentric accessories instead: Lulu Guinness lips clutch, Noel Stewart hat and Marc Jacobs shoes complete her Goodwood getup.
Style Hunter was pleased to see one girl giving the classic ‘50s prom dress good grunge-over. Hannah Scott balanced out her sweet dress (it was her Grandma’s Vivienne Westwood!) with black wedge boots from Kurt Geiger, a mini bag from Torba, mussed up locks and some vintage shades.
