Let's get something out of the way first up: Mila Kunis is smoking hot. Yes, she’s made us guffaw with quirky turns in That 70s Show, Family Guy, Forgetting Sarah Marshall et al, but it was her role as the saucier side to Natalie Portman’s sweetness in Black Swan that really made us sit up and start girl crushing. So how happy are we to be treated to regular doses of the Russian pocket rocket as she whizzes through her Friends With Benefits duties? Umm, VERY. In the past few weeks, we've watched with adoration as Mila’s cracked out a carousel of flirty frocks befitting a girl doing the rounds with a certain Mr Trousersnake. But rather than going all-out glamarama, she's sure to remind us that she ain't ALL about the hotness, y'all. So let’s take a look at what Ms K has delivered thus far…
It was in Mexico when the actress kicked off her sexy-mixed-with-cutie style with an opening Monique Lhuillier number to demonstration exactly this. The pure-as-a-lamb white tweed is covered with lashings of seductive blue lace, which happily complements the fancy wallpaper, and the scarlet mani with tousled waves equals sure-fire hotness. Just one niggle: you could’ve made a touch more effort with the shoes, Mila – those nude peep-toes are a tad too Kate-Middleton-bores for you.
Back in New York City, Mila was spotted trotting into the Regis & Kelly show wearing another girlie frock. This time, she opted for floaty chiffon covered in a fine floral print by L’Agence, perfect for an easy-breezy day in the city. And we’re awarding top marks for the accessorising – foxy powder-blue Brian Atwood heels for some bold colour-popping (yes!), a dainty bracelet and a large Frappucino. Now that's our kinda gal.
Onto the New York premiere when it was time for some Lanvin courtesy of an off-the-shoulder number. We can’t help feeling this is a little ‘meh’, y'know? There's a certain bunchiness at the hips, the hem is a tad too long, the black shoes are non-descript and err, has she safety-pinned the neckline?! Call us nit-pickers but we expected more va-va-voom from the Kunis.
With a splash of Roland Mouret squeezed into the promo proceedings, we reckon the actress is going for a more Katie Holmes sleek-and-sophis aesthetic rather than Rosie H-W glam-bam. Because this Sweeney dress by the London-based designer, which Mila wore on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon is in a very mature mushroom tone with modest capped sleeves and a knee-length hem. We're ignoring the shoes but adore the glossy hair.
Now this, we love. Harking back to her Swan-ballerina-fame at the Moscow premiere earlier this week, Mila had Grazia Daily enthralled once more thanks to a dreamy Elie Saab couture creation. The twinkling beading on the full skirt and that wavy hair do with dainty headband make the look totes princess-worthy while the plunging neckline with a mesh panel brings a dollop of sex, as do those funky Brian Atwood heels. Perfectly executed, we cheer.
And most recently - this Wednesday, in fact - Mila once again hinted at a flash of flesh in a pique dress from Louis Vuitton’s Resort collection. See how the buttoned-up neckline and pleated skirt make it K-Middy-at-Wimbledon prim while the teeny cut-outs and flowing locks err on the side of saucy? But undeniably stealing the spotlight are those blue multi-coloured snake-skin Lanvin heels for a splash of fun. Hurrah, hooray!
So there you have it, folks. M-Kunz’s subversively sexy oeuvre ensures she’s not solely seen as The Hot Girl – no bandaged lyrca here, please - BUT could this lead to dreaded dullsville territory? We hope not. But what say you?
