Brand it like Beckham continues with David for H&M!

28 July 2011

It was back in May when Grazia Daily first treated you to this sexy shot of David Beckham's tattooed torso for his long-rumoured ‘bodywear’. You'll remember at the time, we assumed (okay, hoped) this off-field venture would equal more Becks in briefs. Well, at last the details have arrived: Beckham Bodywear is launching worldwide next year in - wait for it - H&M!

Now let’s be honest, other than making a VB mini-me, David hasn’t had much to do since the less-than-successful World Cup and FIFA bid last year (poor lamb) so how brilliant to hear that following in his wife's fashwan footsteps has proved fruitful. Viva Brand Beckham! What’s more, teaming up with the Swedish high-street hero suggests the range will be more bargaintastic than Victoria’s £18000 superbags. Yay for that!

'Over the past year, I've been developing my Bodywear range with my team and I'm extremely positive about what we have designed and produced,' David says. 'The final piece in the jigsaw was a retail partner who has the vision and capability to distribute these products globally. In H&M we have found the perfect partner to collaborate with going forward, I'm excited and looking forward to showcasing the range to H&M customers from February.' That's right folks, the ever-considerate Mr B is releasing the line just in time for the perfect Valentine's Day gift. God love him.

So what can we expect from Beckham Bodywear? As a sports superhero, will he deliver comfy hoodies and trackie bottoms as he’s done for his Adidas lines? Or perhaps the range will be more err, boyband chic with metrosexually tight T-shirts, baggy jeans and whiter-than-white trainers? Personally, we like David all scrubbed-up and dapper-looking so fingers crossed for tailored suits and smart shirts that we can dress our boyfriends up in.

Plus, if those steamy shots of Becks for Emporio Armani underwear are anything to go by, we’re STILL hoping to get into Beckham’s pants, naturally.

So what would you like to see from Beckham Bodywear?
