Amy Winehouse’s funeral takes place

The soul singer Amy Winehouse has been sent off in an intimate Jewish ceremony for friends and family at the Edgwarebury Cemetery in North London. Among the mourners were Kelly Osbourne sporting a blonde beehive ‘do with a black bow as a tribute to her late friend, as well as friends Nick Grimshaw and Mark Ronson, all dressed in black and looking thoughtful.

Amy’s backing singers, her manager and her parents and brother, were all there. Her dad Mitch has been quoted as thanking the fans who have left tributes and offerings to the singer, and that the family are touched by all the gestures of respect.
