Last night’s best dressed: the Mossy Posse take on MODERN ART!

15 July 2011

The cinemas, posh restaurants and even the sitting rooms in ALL the houses in chi chi parts of London must have been veritably abandoned last night. WHY? Because everyone was out and about at events. Besides the very swanky Armani, Cavalli and Dolce and Gabbana soirees that Grazia Daily attended last night (party hoppers? Us? Oh STOP!), an extremely cultured event was talking place – the private view of the latest exhibition by artist brothers – Jake and Dinos Chapman. It was a lovely affair featuring minstrel Hitlers, zombie Jesus and Mary sculptures, and small children with mutilated faces and beaks and elephant trunks for noses. If you know them you’ll understand.

Samantha Morton and Fran looked laid back in printed dresses

Kate Moss, her husband Jamie Hince, her chums Samantha Morton and Fran Cutler all dusted off their glad rags to play out, while model Lily Cole looked in danger of being corrupted by the older generation of partying models and actresses . . .

Kelly Osborne looked lovely in a Moss-esque black bias cut slip dress, accessorized by a handsome TV presenter on her arm – the ever dapper Nick Grimshaw. Another party-goer of the Grimshaw gang, Pixie Geldof, looked relaxed and smiley in Dolce & Gabbana leopard print (she was en route to that party).

Party perennials Pam Hogg and Roisin Murphy both made the effort – Pam looking lovely in her cream tuxedo jacket and Roisin looking more subdued than her high fashion appearances, peeking out from behind a shaggy fringe.

As well as the London party scene regulars, we spotted supermodel Natalia Vodianova swigging cocktails with Nicky Haslam and Dino Chapman himself – well, it was his party…
