Armani's been commissioned to design the Italian Olympic kit!

13 July 2011

When it comes to exercising, there are definitely two camps when it comes to dress sense – people who like to stock up on extra-stretchy lycra with tiny pockets for house keys and iPod, and the rest of who wear disgusting baggy tee shirts with leggings that have seen better days.

Obviously if you’re training for the Olympics it goes without saying you are appropriately equipped, but it looks like the Italian athletes are going to get EVEN posher P.E kits than ever before. That’s because the company drafted in to make ‘em is none other than EA7, a sportswear line that is part of Emporio Armani.

Blimey. What with Stella McCartney heading up the design team over here in GB and Cedella Marley, fashion designer and daughter of reggae legend, together with Puma, working on the Jamaican uniform (bet you didn’t know THAT, fact fans), would it be such a bad idea to start awarding medals for the best dressed competitors? We think not! Apparently we’ll have more info on this on July 20th so watch this space!
