The sportiest member of the Royal family, Zara Phillips, is apparently following the Kate Moss rather than the Kate Middleton bride-to-be model. Have you guessed what we mean yet? (No, she’s not inviting the entire surviving Rolling Stones to the reception, we don’t think) she’s announced the wedding dress designer ahead of time.
The Queen knew she could rely on Stewart for her important 'meeting the President' outfit
Princess Zara has ended weeks of speculation over the designer of her wedding dress by choosing to have her outfit made by the Queen’s favourite couturier, Stewart Parvin. How nice for him. Stewart has the well-groomed appearance of a celebrity chef and makes impeccable outfits for Princess Anne (Zara’s Mum) and the Queen herself. We understand that the 30-year-old will wear a “modern and chic” gown (and reading between the lines, here) it’ll be EASILY distinguishable from her cousin Kate’s (everyone in the Royal family is a cousin, right?) fairytale Sarah Burton ensemble.
You too can order a Stewart Parvin design from his website!
Indeed, Zara thus far couldn’t be more different from the other well-known royal knot-tiers. Being a professional sportswoman, she likes nothing better than spending the day getting ruddy of cheek in the fresh air, galloping, cantering and dressage-ing (the one where horses get their hair plaited) around, followed by a hearty pint-of-ale drinking competition with fiance Mike Tindall and his entire rugby team in the pub.
On second thoughts, maybe she WILL be looking to book the Stones. Of course all this is mere trifles and space fillers when we consider the burning issue at hand; WILL SHE ARRIVE FOR THE CEREMONY ON HORSEBACK?
