We really take our work seriously here at Grazia Daily but even we squealed with delight when we walked into the suite at London's Charlotte Street Hotel that Etam transformed into every girl's Parisian dream for the day! It may have been the perfectly arranged tower of Pierre Hermé macaroons, Vanessa Paradis' voice twinkling in the background or the Diptyque candles burning but we're pretty sure it was the French brand's A/W'11 collection nonchalantly peeking through half-opened drawers and gift boxes that did it.
You already know, of course, that Etam is back on our shores albeit just online and that a certain Natalia Vodianova (she's pretty, we see her going places!) is not only the face of both its lingerie and ready-to-wear lines but also designs her own line called, bien sûr, Natalia Vodianova Pour Etam. We had a first look at the main line's new collection and we're smitten. The collection is full of the kind of soft and silky lingerie we've been after for ages but minus the designer prices so think fun polka and floral prints as well as bright colours on French knickers and soft bras (the brand's signature).
Needless to say, we felt like getting one of each (their sizes cover a full range of up to E-cup, by the way) right there and then but we pretty soon fell into a macaroon coma so we'll have to wait until the new collection hits their website next month. In the meantime, it's back to Vanessa Paradis and burning candles for us!
