Grazia Daily has always said Josephine de la Baume is a versatile young lady. You'll probably know her best as Mark Ronson’s foxy fiancee, but in her hometown of gay Paree, the French fancy is a beloved model, actress and singer. So praise be for Mango who are treating us Brits to much more of her pretty face as the latest campaign hits our shores.
Following in the footsteps of Olivia Palermo, the pocket-sized stunner (she's a dinky 5 foot!) looks ruddy gorgeous in these shots for the Spanish brand. In fact, J-d-l-B is barely recognisable under that luscious auburn mane, wouldn't you say? We've long loved her distinctive, boho-fabulous style – so much so that she's secured a place on our Best Dressed stars of summer 2011 list – but here, Josephine's looking much more polished and positively cat-like. Of course, her razor-sharp cheekbones and juicy lips are the perfect accessories to Mango's print-tastic collection, which includes everything from Prada-esque bananas to retro-inspired peaches. YUM.
So in honour of Ms de la Baume's new role, we though it timely to grill her on our favourite subject…
What is your first fashion memory?
'I remember trying out all my mum’s outfits. I have recently found this picture where I was about 3 years old and I’m wearing a long Yves Saint Laurent sweater that belonged to my mum and I am wearing full make up…I really was going for it!'
What is your style like?
'I’d say it’s a bit schizophrenic because I have a tendency to wear androgynous looks. I like men’s jackets with a big belt and I steal a lot of my boyfriend’s jackets and trousers and nice big shirts.'
Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time?
'Probably in the arms of the same man and probably still doing the amazing job that I’m doing, having a lot of children running around me.'
And with the soon-to-be Mrs Ronson tying the knot in France this September, it looks like Josephine's well on her way. What's the betting she'll make the perfect wife-slash-mother too?
