Lovely Lily Allen got married this weekend at a picturesque country church called St James the Great in the picturesque Cotswolds village of Cranham wearing a vintage-inspired lacey dress complete with a little lace cap (tres Jane Austen) by French designer Delphine Manivet, accessorized with Rupert Sanderson shoes.
Those of you obsessive enough to have put a bet on the designer or THIS famous dress might have lost money by putting it on Monsieur Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel, although it's thought she changed into a different number for the reception. (Neither did Karl walk her down the aisle as previously speculated by *cough* Grazia Daily, as that honour was performed by her dad Keith Allen). The scene was awash with bridesmaids, both adult (including Miquita Oliver) in peachy coloured long wafty slip dresses and child ones in little lace frocks to match the bride.
Lily married her builder boyfriend Sam Cooper before they all went to eat a 'cricket tea'. The other big news was that the couple announced they are expecting a baby. After a miscarriage at 6 months last year and another in 2008, Lily is said to be extremely happy with the news and has made no secret of the fact she would like to have a family of little flowers running around. Her designer lady Ms Manivet said 'It's beautiful that she is pregnant, and I am very happy for her.'
She added: 'You can see, of course, the little stomach - it looked very cute with the dress.'
