Since Carine Roitfeld left Paris Vogue at the end of 2010 everyone keeps wondering – will she create a new platform for her artistic shoots of wrinkly lovers, kidz in adult’s clothes and full makeup and white models painted brown? The answer remains – we simply don’t know.
In some articles she hints; ‘the future is online’ in others ‘I’m over with my porno chic phase’ and over the weekend, when Nymag collared her at an event, she remained enigmatic in her responses. What we know is that she IS doing Barney’s department store, ‘an entire issue of V magazine with Mario Testino [and] Kate Winslet on the cover’ PLUS a jewellery campaign or similar project with photographer Terry Richardson for jewellery brand David Webb after styling Chanel’s A/W ’11 campaign with beauteous model Freja Beha Erichsen, and a coffee table book as well.
She told the reporter that ‘Now I have freedom like a butterfly, so I can go from one place to another’
Hurry up and make up your mind, Carine. Meanwhile, we propose a competition to come up with a good name for Roitfeld’s potential mag. How about Paris Rogue to get us started?
