What do you get when you combine Simon Le Bon, the South of France and a smattering of supermodels? Why, Duran Duran’s new music video of course! Yes indeedy readers, Grazia can exclusively reveal that Naomi Campbell, and a whole host of her supermodel friends are reuniting next week to film Duran Duran’s fashion-inspired video in the South of France. We’re totally envisaging a repeat of George Michael’s 1990 video Freedom. And that was such a Fashion Moment that, as reported on Wednesday, Kate Moss claims that one of her biggest regrets was that '..I wasn't in [George Michael's] Freedom video… I just missed it. That would have been amazing.’
Sources tell us that Yasmin Le Bon, supermodel wife of Duran Duran’s lead singer Simon was the brains behind the operation and insiders say that Moss could be involved. And last week when Yasmin, Naomi and the entire Duran Duran line-up were in Cannes together, sources say that they were busy discussing the video and how it will look.
‘It’s all very exciting, all the girls back together again,’ said a source. ‘Yasmin’s spent weeks recruiting her model friends, and she and Naomi were discussing it and getting excited about it when they were in Cannes for Naomi’s Fashion For Relief show.’
So what will the video be like? Will they be strutting it on a catwalk? Will they be posing? Will they be singing even? You’ll have to watch this space. Vive Duran Duran! Vive Le Supermodel!
