This is turning to be quite the week for Kate Moss. First, she was named once again by Forbes magazine as one of the top three models of last year – no mean feat in a year where cool new names like Arizona Muse dominated, then we got details of her festival-of-a-wedding extravaganza and now come news that the much-talked-about, it’s-on-and-then-it’s-not exhibition of her most iconic photographs is to open in Paris – today!
As we’re sure you remember, the famous Musee des Arts Decoratifs was set to present a retrospective exhibition of the super-duper-model we all know as Mossy and her pretty outstanding career three years ago but insufficient funding (the museum relies on private contributions) led to the show’s cancellation. To the rescue comes La Gallerie de L'Instant with their promisingly named ‘Kate Moss by the biggest photographers' exhibition! Mossy fans, rejoice! With a career spanning some 20 years expect to see work by photographers like Rankin, Mary McCartney, Arthur Elgort, Patrick Demarchelier, Paolo Roversi and, of course, Corinne Day. ‘This exhibition is a homage, not only to her beauty, but also to her intelligence', the Paris gallery said and we’re frankly already booking our Eurostar tickets!
The 'Kate Moss par les plus grands photographes' exhibition opens today at the Gallerie de L'Instant, 46, rue de Poitou, Paris.
