We’re big fans of street style here at Grazia HQ, as you will already have realised by checking out the brilliant Style Hunter on a regular basis. Well, it turns out we’re not alone! Tonight, New Look launches its "100 Days of Summer " campaign, which stars 100 real girls rather than models, all of whom bring their unique flare, individual style and positive energy to the high street favourite’s latest ad campaign.
This is what we like about this: with an average height of 5ft 5; dress sizes ranging from 6 to 18 and ages up to 29; the New Look girls are totally breaking the model mould by representing the fashion-savvy ladies we see on the street every day. AND, of course, they also represent New Look’s customer base. It’s geeeeenius, innit?
Two of the ladies included in the campaign are Shavonne Walker (top), who is 18 years old and works as a New Look sales assistant, and Rhian Williams, 21 (above), who is a studying Human Resources at university. Shavonne says ‘my advice to other girls is to smile, embrace your body and always dress to impress!’ and Rhian reckons that ‘taking part in the New Look shoot was a dream come true’. Bless.
We think both ladies look fabulous, right? Brilliantly, New Look are planning to hunt down more ladies and gents from the streets of the UK for future campaigns, so to be in with a chance of joining the next group, and enjoying a moment in the spotlight, keep a keen eye on their facebook page. In the meantime, check out New Look's plus sized clothing range for some real style inspiration.
