After almost 10 years at Chloe and three years as creative director, Hannah MacGibbon and Chloe have announced that they are set to part ways. MacGibbon said in a statement that ‘I will always have a deep affection for Chloe and am very grateful to the company for having given me this opportunity’.
The announcement comes after months of speculation as to MacGibbon’s future at the iconic French label, and comes just four weeks after it was announced that her contract had been renewed for another season.
Stepping up to replace MacGibbon is Clare Waight Keller, former creative director at Pringle, who will take the helm at Chloe from June 1st. Keller, who left Pringle in March after five years at the heritage label, said ‘I am thrilled to be joining one of the most prestigious design houses in Paris. Chloe is a brand that conveys a beautiful sense of effortless femininity and vivacious sophistication that I look forward to continuing into the next era.
We’ll bring you more on this story as it breaks.
