New Young Pony Club singer, Ty, in Miss Jacqueline White
Three quick questions for you: Do you live or work in East London? Are you into fashion hobnobbing, sample sales or getting down to brills DJ’s? if so, what are you doing tonight? If you can make it at such short notice we thoroughly recommend you get your derrieres down to Netil House on the corner or Mare St, Hackney, a stone’s throw from Broadway Market and London Fields. Until recently a derelict building, which is experiencing a new lease of life as a creative hub which houses the studios of fashion designers, stylists, acrobats, artists, photographers, furniture designers, musicians, shoemakers, textile designers, vintage clothing dealers, graphic designers, jewellery designers, illustrators, and even more. Phew!
In tonight’s open evening, you’ll be able to meet and greet with the residents and even pop into a sample sale from Dynasty Jewellery, A Village Fete, a Pop up Nail Bar, and even a Rude T-shirt making workshop with designer and stylist, Miss Jacqueline White.
It’s free to attend and is sponsored by Becks, so you won’t be too thirsty. We know a number of the collective ourselves and a nicer bunch of fashion folk you couldn’t hope to meet. Oh yes, and on the decks will be Alpha-ville Festival presents Circle Traps (Live), My Panda Shall Fly, a set from New Young Pony Club, plus Age of Consent, Mr Markus Wilson & to the lazercave.
