Question: where do you think Karl Lagerfeld and Blake Lively went before heading to the met ball? A superfabulous fash-bar, perhaps? Or Poshy McSwank’s mega-exclusive restaurant, maybe? No. The answer is: they went to a diner. Blake told style.com that ‘before we came tonight, Karl and I met at a diner where we saw a bunch of 80-year-olds’. And there’s a pic to prove it! A source who did not wish to be named sent a picture of Karl and Blake to NY magazine’s The Cut. Apparement, the source revealed that the diner was called 3 Guys on Madison Avenue, and that Blake and Karl drank Diet Coke, as opposed to tea. Well, of COURSE.
To celebrate the fact that Karl has been spotted out and about in the real world, Grazia Daily brings you a selection of pics of Karl out and about in unlikely places.
The market trader:
Karl, sporting an unforgivable pair of acid wash grey jeans, barters with a trader over a (synthetic looking) beach bag. Proof that even the most chic among us have occasional lapses in taste.
The postcard kiosk:
Baptiste had promised Karl that the postcard kiosk was the finest in St Tropez. This is not the face of a man in the finest post card kiosk in St Tropez, now is it?
Seemingly overwhelmed by the awfulness of the jumper and glasses sported by the man standing next to him, Karl is forced to steady himself on the book shelves.
