5 things you didn’t know about Josephine de la Baume . . .

04 April 2011

Yep – you already knew she was Mark Ronson’s foxy French companion but there’s much more to the Gallic pocket rocket than accompanying her man to parties. She's been on our fashion icon radar for ages now and super Asos magazine obviously agree with us because she's on their cover in a bewitching, petal-strewn shoot.  Here are our favourite facts about the little lady . . . .

Despite the fact she’s got a Kylie-style body with killer curves on a miniature 5’ frame – she’s not only the face of Agent Provocateur’s ridiculously beautiful rude lingerie but a model for the Spanish brand MANGO. How very versatile. And how nice that someone is flying the flag for short models (but we digress).

She’s in a band called SingTank with her brother Alexandre, and you’ll be able to find out whether they will fill the gap left by the split of The White Stripes last year very soon – as they’ve got an album coming out this year.

She’s ALSO an actress. Thus far you’re only likely to have seen her on screen if you’re a fan of going to art house cinemas late at night or visiting you local library to catch French flicks – but all that is about to change. She’ll be appearing in the adaptation of the phenomenally popular ‘One Day’ by David NichollsAnne Hathaway is slated to star but Josephine will be popping up in a small part.

As well as this she's lined up a role in a new hilarious slapstick caper with ‘Jonny English’ – which she is thrilled about seeing as she grew up watching Mr Bean on the insistence of her Anglophile mum. (Mr Bean? Oh yes)

She and her swoonsome beau Mr Ronson are actually engaged now – apparently he DESIGNED the ring himself (Yikes! Where do famous people GET these boyfriends?) AND they are getting married in September in the South of France and Josephine will wear Zac Posen. Ah.
