Everything Swedish fashion brand Acne does for men at the moment is dead good. Their jeans are the best around and they semi-invented the skinny chino, this summer’s key pant. The list continues. Their slim shirts with neat button-down collars are a perfect example of what they’re so clever at. The essence of stylish, low-key menswear is nice, straight pieces tweaked slightly better, not ground breaking, just extremely good on. Next week Dover Street waits with tensed buttocks for the arrival of the much enquired about Oliver fitted leather biker jacket. It’s particularly good, and not remotely cheap. Instead, perhaps stretch to a pair of Max Cash black jeans, if you haven’t already. Visiting the Acne Studios is impressive. Four floors of Swedish gear (for girls, kids and tranvestites thanks to their Candy magazine collaboration) with bits of art and interesting furniture dotted about. I challenge you not to like something, it's impossible. There is even something brilliant about the mental floppy hats and massive acetate bins. Well, you gotta do something for the fashion pack to gawp at, haven’t you?
