Grazia Daily is not ashamed to admit we already know raaather a lot about Anna Dello Russo. Yes, we already know that she has two apartments in Milan, and that she owns an estimated 4 gazillion pairs of shoes, but we’re still hungry for any fresh nuggets of sartorial genius that come from her perfectly rouged lips.
Which is why we love this video. CNN sent Myleene Klass (mysteriously credited as an ‘icon’ at the start of this feature – is this a typo? Or are we missing something?) to interview ADR in her hotel room in the Ritz – obviously – in Paris, during Paris fashion week, and amongst the new advice Anna offers up to us is this:
If she could only wear one designer for the rest of her life, it would be Dolce & Gabbana – because ‘it’s Italian, I like the aesthetic [and] the way they make it’.
Another person Anna would credit with being an icon (along with Myleene, perhaps?) is Lady Gaga, because ‘she is the new approach of music and fashion together … and she understands the power of the communication of clothes’.
Anna wears three outfits a day, ‘one in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the night’ Well, don’t we all? And the one outfit that she feels sums her up is ‘the cherry ‘at… the energy, colour, smile – happiness.’
Finally, Anna’s tips for getting dressed are to ‘dance, before you get dressed – dance naked… and your spirit will give you the right outfit.’ We get the impression that ADR is not the kind of woman to discover that the ‘right outfit’ is in the washing basket. Love her.
