'It’s a Girl!' Victoria Beckham is Expecting a Mini-Me!

14 March 2011

Oh happy day! After months of bump-watch and endless media frenzy, David Beckham has confirmed Victoria is expecting a baby girl. "Obviously, we're very lucky to be expecting again, and this is the first time I'm going to say it: It's a little girl," the delighted Dad revealed at a L.A. Galaxy event this weekend. "We're still in shock. Obviously, having three boys, you kind of expect another one, so finding out a little girl is in there is surprising, but, obviously, we are over the moon," he added. "Our three boys are happy and excited, and Victoria is doing well."

Indeed, the yummy mummy looked as chic as ever when she landed in LA on Sunday wearing her signature skinny jeans and sky-high Louboutins, with just a baggy grey T-shirt covering her barely-there bump. See, no more pashminas and ponchos for pregnancy #4. And speaking of Victoria's wonderful wardrobe, Grazia Daily’s thoughts have, naturally, turned to the treasure trove Baby Beckham will inherit. After a brood of sons - Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz - this will be the first daughter for the A-list couple so can you imagine the fashion legacy VB's mini-me will be blessed with? >squeals<

As Melanie Rickey reported in Grazia’s Big Fashion Issue, there is Spice Girl memorabilia like the latex catsuit that first caught David’s eye [above left], which is guestimated to be worth a mind-blowing £100,000 by 2032. Then there’s Victoria’s Hermes Birkin collection, valued at £1.5m in February 2010. And let’s not forget the jewels - turns out VB’s collection is highly regarded by those in the know.

That’s before we move onto the hundreds of iconic designer dresses aired at a rate of one or two a week over the last decade – Cavallis, Mourets, Jacobs and Alaias galore, not to mention the collections designed by Vicky B herself.

Oh, what we'd give to be a Beckham babe...
