John Galliano's Final Collection For Dior

Grazia has just arrived at the Dior catwalk show, taking place during Paris Fashion Week, where it's business as usual for the French fashion house. There is a huge crowd, but no protesters, outside - just every news channel in the world and an unusual amount of Police.

Anna Wintour is on the FROW, but no sign of Dior "face" and Galliano BFF Kate Moss.

The chief executive of Dior, Sidney Toledano [above] made a statement on the catwalk before the show in French, but from what we understood, he spoke of the history of the house and how it's bigger than any designer so will continue to thrive. A press release is due to follow shortly.

As for the collection itself, it's full of knickerbockers, barely there lace and tulle dresses - and a hard faced Jessica Stam - met by whooping and cheering from the audience.

The theme of the collection is 'dandyism of the English romantic poets' and Galliano's friend, Jeremy Healy is credited with the music.

Instead of the usual designer bow, the whole Dior design team appeared for the finale, making for a nice finishing touch...
