As we mentioned yesterday, Grazia Daily was lucky enough to meet Ellie Goulding at The Mayfair Hotel on Thursday. In Ellie’s ridiculously glossy suite, we chatted about how she ended up on the Burberry FROW and why she wants Barbie pink hair before being serenaded by her dreamy tunes at Vodaphone’s London Fashion Weekend. But what does the lovely popstrel have to say about her personal style moments – from wearing Vivienne Westwood at the Brits to letting it all er, hang out on stage? And so today, dear readers, we bring you Ellie, The Fashion Jury...
'This is my weird festival get-up when I was going through my boy phase. The trousers are Urban Outfitters and the Nike T-shirt is about 100 years old. The skull necklace is by Jade Jagger – I love her jewellery. The hat was left in my dressing room so I decided to put it on. After that, all these girls came to my shows wearing them so there were all these ears popping up!'
'I like having colourful hair because of the whole Barbie thing. This is my favourite belt in the world, it’s by Alice Temperley and I’d wear it everyday if I could. These are my little cloggies from River Island and the dress is Mulberry. They sent it to me and I really liked it.'
'This was me dressed appropriately for the Burlesque premiere in House of Holland tights, Kurt Geigers and a D&G suit with a bowtie. I’d wear a suit and tie everyday but I think certain people wouldn’t agree...'
'I love this actually. My bum was popping out slightly so I didn’t turn around. I think the shorts are Antipodium – I saw them and fell in love. The top is from Topshop. I would wear skirts on stage but I need something sturdy to put my [mic] pack onto and I jump around so it can easily fall off. Although at Glastonbury, I turned around and my bum was actually out!'
'This is my favourite. I’m wearing Vivienne Westwood from the archives so it’s quite random. It fell on my body quite well and I’m wearing my vintage Chanel necklace and those Louboutins are the best I’ve ever seen in my life - I had to wear them.'
This is me at the Burberry show, just vibing in one of their amazing trench coats with gold studs. I saw it and completely fell in love. I didn’t get to keep it but it’s one of those things that’s reserved for a very special occasion.
