1:15 (Milano time) Is there anything more beautiful than a sunny day in Milan? Yes! Gucci ready-to-wear! And once again, Grazia Daily has managed to sneak backstage pre-show to spy, sorry, live blog on all the last minute frenzied preparations. Obviously we want to find out - what's the Gucci look for Autumn / Winter 2011; but just as importantly, who's walking in the show? How much mischief can we cause? And CAN we persuade Gucci make-up maven Pat McGrath to give us a Gucci-over? Stay tuned, people...

1:19 First up, here's a glimpse at the inspiration.

1:24 Yes, that is a fig leaf. Hopefully that's the refreshments table, not the accessories...hmmm?

1:31 Whole lotta ponytail on Anja Rubik. Rapunzel! Rapunzel! let down your golden erm, extensions!

1:36 Someone important (frowny) shouts '15 minutes to the first look!' Everyone ignores him...

1:39 Check out Gucci hair god Luigi's crazy blades! He tells us 'they're from Tokyo! They're not Roberto Cavalli!' guffaw. Luigi tells us the hair is 'very 70's with a frizz like you see on Grace Coddington. And then the feathers - they move as the girls walk, and when you see the clothes, these feathers make sense.' *squeals* clothing clues! Talking of which, let's go snooping...

1:42 Pat! Pat! Pat! 'It's a very strong burgundy lip, and we've got bright red in the centre of the mouth' she tells us. 'Lashings of mascara - Experience Volumising mascara in black which I love from Max Factor (Pat's favourite mascara! Listen up, ladies!!), and Max Factor Experience Foundation, and then we have a little light brown around the eyes, Eight Hour Cream, and a perfectly groomed brow.'

1:45 Models off duty: its all about the furry coat...

1:47 Grrr, no chance of a sneaky peek

1:49 The model line-up!

1:51 Natasha Poly's new fave fashion hit - Wang boots!

1:54 T-shirt Givenchy, gown Gucci (so much more nickable than hotel robes) and no, they don't get to keep them - I asked.

1:55 Anja's wearing All Saints! We knew we liked her! All Saints black maxi dress, Balenciaga tux jacket, Prada black lace-up ankle boots and leopard print Lanvin mini shoulder bag.

1:58 Aaand we have a winner! Best dressed model is...Chanel Iman in Balmain jacket, Helmut Lang jeans and awesome Zanotti glitter boots. Fierce.
2:00 So how to describe the beauty look? 'It's a dark lip outline with red in the middle...brown on the lids mixed with eight hour cream. Simple, dramatic.'

2:04 Only models look this beautiful bored...
2:05 The first looks are being prepared. So far, I'm seeing jade green, black trilbies, furry collars...

2:11 As one of the make up team says 'its like 70s glam...'

2:14 Awesome shades, awesome hats, awesome pouts...

2:18 Midnight blue, silky, furry glamooooor.

2:26 Looks good on the catwalk too.

1:37 And Frida Giannini takes her bow wearing a sheer black chiffon spotted high neck blouse and tailored pinstripe trousers, with a very-Luigi low ponytail (minus the 'Coddington frizz'). Bravo, Frida! And grazie mille for having us! Ciao! x
