Alexander McQueen 'Savage Beauty' exhibition

23 February 2011

Yesterday the Ritz hotel in London saw a select group of fashion editors plus Samantha Cameron and Stella McCartney gather together for the unveiling of some of the exhibits for the forthcoming Alexander McQueen exhibition – entitled Savage Beauty, to be held at the Costume Institute in the Metropolitan Museum in New York later this spring. A certain Ms Anna Wintour presided over the event, (resplendent in leopard print of course) which was held in the same venue as McQueen’s own first ever show after leaving Central Saint Martins.

Hmmm. We’re giving you a preview of the some of the looks, as photographed by the extraordinary photographer, Sølve Sundsbø, especially for the Costume Institute, although what we’d REALLY like to hear is whether the exhibition will come on tour to London, like perhaps the V&A afterwards, because we think our invite the Met Ball in New York has got lost in the post this year.
