Miu Miu has released this very atmospheric, wistful short film to its fans, showcasing the very sleek and silky S/S ’11 collection, with enough lingering close-ups of the neon-flash handbags and high heels to satisfy even the most ardent of Miu Miu enthusiasts.
Director Zoe Cassavetes explained the backstory to the short film; which takes place in a "powder room" so glamorous as to not resemble almost any Ladies loo WE'VE ever been in - saying;
‘I love the idea of a powder room, the ritual which takes place within them is very important for women,’ as part of an interview you can watch online at mimiu.com. ‘There’s something special about preparing yourself, a moment before the action takes place. I love the sense of intimacy. It’s a place away from men, where you can check out other women, and re-glamourize yourself ready to face the world again.’ She went on.
