She comes from Greece, she’s the Queen of hyperrealism, it can only be . . . Mary Katrantzou! And she’s created her second capsule collection for Topshop which will be out on Feb 14th - just in time to tempt us mere mortals who love her mesmerising prints but can’t afford her ready-to-wear. It looks as though she has used a small section of a print from her S/S ’11 collection and blown it up to create two sublime shift dresses (£120) and matching silk scarves(£50) for the High St fashion mecca.
As well as the lovely Mary K garms, the collaboration includes something new – nails. What? Yep, for the period of the collab in February you’ll be able to get a Mary Katrantzou print MANICURE at the WAH nail salon for £55 in TOPSHOP at Oxford Circus. Insanity? Well, not really. WAH, the nail salon with the shortest attention span in London have been turning to the catwalk to inspire their nail designs for a while already. Have a gander at this competition on their site where you need to identify all 18 prints from the S/S ’11 shows in order to win an entire set! Not easy, mark our words.
