Prepare yourselves, readers, for limitless flamboyance as we enter the magical world of haute couture! As we mentioned earlier, the extravagance kicked off in Paris today and, as ever, Grazia Daily is on the fashion frontline to bring you all the grandeur direct from the FROW.
First stop this morning was Bouchra Jarrar (the new star of Paris couture, dontcha know) who treated us to a simple, elegant collection. Her sleek, monochromatic designs provided a refreshing start to the traditionally baroque couture shows.
Speaking of which, we’ve just left Christian Dior where John Galliano's beautifully dramatic silhouettes swooshed down the catwalk. The collection is inspired by the bold illustrations René Gruau created for the French power house and we, naturally, LOVE. As for the designer himself, he appeared at the end of the show as per tradition, working a 1960's matador look. Genius!
