Miss Piggy to become new Vogue Editor!

14 January 2011

At last! The editor of Vogue is to be taken seriously in a cinematic context. After all that far fetched nonsense in The Devil Wears Prada, that COMPLETELY unconvincing charade in The September Issue, not to mention fashion in general in the preposterous Zoolander (sequel in the pipeline we are assured).

FINALLY someone is taking a serious look at the role of Fashion Editrix and giving her the gravitas and dignity she deserves – that’s right, in forthcoming The Muppet Movie, by Jason Segel, Miss Piggy is to play “a plus size editor at French Vogue” Art imitating life imitating art imitating fashion or what?

See the synopsis of the film below;

The Muppets have to stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the Muppet theatre, from an evil oilman who wants to develop the land it’s on. Kermit and some Muppet fans reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino house band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate.
